Gaustatoppen

Telemarks' tallest mountain that stands 1883 meters above sea level.

Family trip.

There is about a 2 hour drive from Vrådal to the parking by Gaustatoppen. The hike itself takes around 4 hours, and the trail is in stony terrain. It is important to bring shoes that are good for hiking. For those who are unable to or do not want to walk to the top, it is also possible to take Gaustabanen to the top of the mountain. At the top, there is a small café that is run by the Telemark Tourist Association. From the peak of the mountain, there is an amazing view over most of southern Norway.
